The Colibri Tegra 2 is the latest addition to the widespread Colibri (ARM based) product family. The module is based on NVIDIA’s ARM Cortex A9 MPCORE Dual Core processor, runs at 1.0GHz and is the first computer-on-module to feature this processor within the embedded market.
Colibri modules feature state of the art technology, and are aimed at low power systems that require high CPU performance. They are equipped with all the interfaces needed in a modern embedded device.

The 1 gigabyte of on board on-board Flash memory provides a large amount of storage for program and data, with data storage further expandable through USB, MemoryStick, CompactFlash/PCMCIA and SDCard.
The Colibri Tegra 2 module provides dual display support and a wide variety of display interface options, including digital RGB, analogue VGA, DVI (TDMS), and with an appropriate external encoder, LVDS, making interfacing to almost any LCD panel simple. The digital RGB interface supports resolutions of up to WSXGA+ (1680x1050), while the DVI interface will support Full HD (1920x1080) resolution. 4 and 5-wire resistive touch screens are natively supported. An integrated 16 bit stereo codec provides audio recording and playback functionality. The module can also be directly connected to a CMOS camera sensor for imaging application support.
In addition to this rich set of features, The Colibri Tegra 2 provides full 100 Megabit Ethernet connectivity as well as high-speed USB 2.0 host and device functionality.
Flexibility and Scalability
Colibris can be scaled to meet specific cost requirements: Assembly options are available for Ethernet, Audio Codec, Flash memory size, RAM size and CPU speed.
The entire CPU bus is available for custom extensions, such as special interfaces for high bandwidth applications.
Professional Development Tools
Colibris come with a pre-installed Windows CE operating system and state of the art development tools that allow an easy customization of the system to make it fit specific needs (e.g. LCD settings & timings, integration of customer software and the auto-start option at startup).
Users can therefore concentrate on their actual application without going through the hassle of setting up an operating system. Special drivers are delivered by Toradex on request.
