Optibase MediaPump is a family of multiplexer interface boards that provide high-performance MPEG-2 transport stream processing and DVB/PCI interface capabilities. Patented MediaSplice technology enables seamless, artifact-free, real-time splicing of MPEG-2 transport streams for ad insertion and VOD applications. Support for multiple boards in a single server allows MediaPump to scale with the needs of intensive video applications.
The on-board Optibase MediaPump multiplexer minimizes host platform overhead resource requirements for high performance MPEG-2 transport stream processing. Optibase MediaPump connects PCI-based video servers to a broad array of DVB equipment, serving as a gateway for integrating digital broadcast systems. It can be successfully deployed in VOD, interactive TV and VoIP applications. An API enables easy access to all Optibase MediaPump functions.
