The hardware-based Optibase MovieMaker HD PCI encoder is ideal for vendors and integrators who build HD video servers and applications for broadcasting, VOD, ad insertion, program initiation and military simulation and surveillance systems. It supports HD and SD resolutions and provides instant feedback with decode during encoding.

Optibase MovieMaker HD supports MPEG-2 HD compression at up to 150 Mbps. From AES3 inputs, it generates up to 2 stereo pairs of Dolby Digital ™ stereo, MPEG-1 L2, Dolby 5.1 pass-through and PCM audio. The board is designed to receive input from a number of sources and output created files to a host as either compressed or uncompressed data.

Optibase MPEG Composer, the encoding application that is bundled with Optibase MovieMaker HD, provides integrated device control, parameter setting and encode status monitoring. It enables users to easily create professional MPEG-2 content for VOD, DVDs, broadcast and digital signage. A powerful SDK makes it easy to develop and customize HD solutions.
